Abstract

This book is divided into eight chapters focusing on the psyche of the postcolonial Africa and its implications to self-development; injustices in research in Africa and how they can be addressed; the appropriateness of higher education in Africa; integrating the values/ practices of "obontubulamu" in research; how perceptions and depictions of Africa as compared to the West influence staying or migration from Africa; cultural interaction in the era of globalisation; and environmental-identity intersections in Africa.
